Project description:
The aim of my PhD is to solve the limited ability of drugs to cross the gastrointestinal membrane by using polymeric nanoparticles as a drug delivery system to encapsulate drugs and facilitate their oral absorption. These polymeric nanoparticles will be produced using a microfluidic approach. Further, the surface of the nanoparticles will be modified with cell penetrating peptides (CPPs) to enhance cellular uptake.
