Thesis title:  Preparation and evaluation of oral nanoformulations for the antioxidant rutin

Project description:

Rutin is known to be a strong antioxidant that can protect the liver from injury.  However, the use of rutin is limited because of poor water solubility.  Therefore, research on ways to improve solubility and delivery are needed.  Nanoparticulate formulations will be investigated for the oral delivery of rutin for the treatment of liver disease.
