Thesis title: Optimising the functionalisation of CPP-tagged nanoparticles
Email: cheya355@student.otago.ac.nz
Project description: Cell-penetrating peptides (CPPs) are positively charged, short peptide sequences with the ability to penetrate the cell membrane. CPPs have been conjugated to the surface of PLGA nanoparticles to enhance drug delivery to cells. Recent studies have explored the functionalisation of polymer nanoparticles with CPPs of different architecture to maximise the cell interactions in vivo. Here, the aim of this study is to optimise the CPPs attachment on the PLGA nanoparticles and investigate the stability CPP-tagged PLGA nanoparticles.
